SEO for website design Mumbles
Having a professionally designed website just isn’t good enough to get you on page one of Google. Lets face it, if you don’t appear in a Google search then it’s almost impossible for people to find you. SEO which means “search engine optimization” and if your website isn’t appearing on page 1 then you seriously need the help of SEO services and someone who knows their way around Search Engine Optimization. Here at SEO Mumbles we take a good look at what your competitors are doing and we do it better. We reverse engineer what they do and together we set out to be it better.
Please note: No one can guarantee you a place on page 1 of Google never mind the top spot, but its a goal to aim for. Having said that, isn’t this where you found me?
Get your website listed on Google, Bing, Yahoo ...
Google has more than 200 ranking factors when it comes to SEO not to mention it changes its algorithm 3000 a years. This is why seo specialists are always playing catch up.
For a new website build it can take anything from 3 – 6 months to get ranked. Google needs to know they can trust you and trust comes with time. As the time passes I will monitor your progress and constantly make improvements and recommendations where I think this will improve your rankings.
My goal is to get you as high up as possible in the search rankings, just be patient and know its happening in the background. Unfortunately it just takes time and this is the nature of the beast. On the other hand if your website is already established then changes can take place within in days if not hours.
Search Engine Optimisation
Is a beautiful simple system whereby, a user or customer, puts a keyword into a search engine like Google, and if that keyword is in your websites structure then this webpage will be returned to the inquirer as a result. The page or information returned should answer their question and in turn become a sale.
For example, let’s pretend you’re a newbie to website design and you have just hit a snag in your design. Where do you go for help, but doctor Google of course, just like the rest of us? Today in this fast paced life, people want immediate answers to their problems, and scrolling through a myriad of websites looking for the “best way to rank on page 1 of Google”, can be very time consuming? Now if you have “best way to rank on page 1 of Google” as a keyword on your website, you will possibly rank highly for this search query on Google. If your page was titled “top ranking on search engines” you would never get found for the aforementioned query.
So imagine on your website you have just briefly touched the surface of SEO, and someone else has in the same business in your town has dedicated time money effort and self-discipline to make his SEO page stand out, guess which one gets the Google vote?
SEO Mumbles and the big mistake many people make
So many people get into business and design their website all around their personality.
Please remember your website is for the public and not for you, let me repeat this, your website is for the public, your customers and not you.
Your website is there to offer real answers to real questions, and in order to answer these questions in your chosen field. You must come across as an expert. People want real answers to real questions/problems. If you sell black enameled paint, then advertise this and not we sell a selection of paints!
This is not a social platform, its business and as such must be treated as such, be professional at all times.
After you spend weeks writing great informative content, which is king by the way as far as Google is concerned, then comes search engine optimization. A well-designed landing page coupled with good keyword structure and you are on your way to the top. But it does take time money, effort and discipline to get there.
Whats in a name?
This is so important when it comes to SEO.
Let’s say you have decided to call your business after yourself “Johndoe.com” what does this tell your potential customers? Absolutely nothing. On the other hand if you had this as your business website domain “seomumbles.com” people know exactly what you do and the area you cover. A website I build a little while ago had the following structure.
Hypnosiscardiff.co.uk which is fine it’s a hypnotherapist in Cardiff. Now when we add a page to our website “hypnotherapy for anxiety, the URL changes as we go from hypnosiscardiff.co.uk/ to hypnosiscardiff.co.uk/hypnotherapy for anxiety. Google will look at hypnosis and hypnotherapy as two separate words, plus you have the addition of anxiety and Mumbles, which makes this an easy search for SEO. Anyone looking for help with anxiety using hypnosis or hypnotherapy, from Mumbles would find this page easily. This is of course just an introduction to SEO and covers just one of the two hundred ranking factors Google deems it necessary to give your website a high ranking. Should you need any help just get in contact.
